Blue Ocean Safari do not believe in the “cattle boat” approach to scuba diving. All of our trips are small and personable.

Blue Ocean Safari's aim is to provide an extraordinary experience for all who dive our pristine reefs. Blue Ocean Safari strive to instill a respect for the delicate nature of our reefs and the need to conserve these precious resources for future generations.

Blue Ocean Safari Dive Center offers local diving and snorkeling on the reefs offshore from our facility. Blue Ocean Safari is one of few dive operators in Mahahual that possess all the required permits to dive the famed Chinchorro Banks. The Chinchorro Banks is truly one of the worlds “must do dives”. Cenote diving can also be arranged at any of the several cenotes along the Yucatan, including the famous Hidden Worlds Cenote Park.

Dive education is an important part of Blue Ocean Safari philosophy. A team of experienced PADI professionals offers everything from introductory Discover Scuba experiences through Instructor level certifications. Blue Ocean Safari offers a wide range of specialty certifications ranging from underwater photography to cavern diving.

For those visitors who do not wish to dive, Blue Ocean Safari has several alternatives from which to choose. These include snorkeling, sea kayaking and fishing. All our fishing is catch and release for the numerous species of game fish that live in our waters. If fly-fishing is more your speed we will arrange for you to fish the shallow flats in the nearby village of Xcalak.
